Combine soy sauce, ketchup, vegetable oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano in a small bowl.
Score both sides of the steak with a diamond cut about 1/8 inch deep. Rub the meat with marinade on both sides. Store in a covered container or resealable plastic bag in the refrigerator to marinate for 5-6 hours or overnight. Turn the meat every few hours.
Preheat the outdoor grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate.
