How to make Japanese rice? Prepare the products. Take ordinary, round-grain rice, as if you were preparing sushi or rolls. In addition to carrots and peppers, you can also add other vegetables - onions, beans, eggplant, broccoli. Adjust the amount of garlic, ginger and soy sauce to your taste. Instead of rice vinegar, ordinary 9% table vinegar, slightly diluted with water, is suitable.
Wash the chicken, dry it and cut it into small pieces.
Wash, peel and cut the carrots into strips.
Cut the flesh of the bell pepper in the same way.
Cut the garlic into slices.
Pour sugar and salt into the vinegar, mix.
Wash the rice well in several waters, pour clean cold water. Put the saucepan on high heat, cover with a lid. When the water boils, reduce the heat to low. Boil the rice for 10-15 minutes until the water boils completely. Then turn off the heat and let the rice stand under the lid for another 10 minutes. Pour vinegar with sugar and salt into it, mix.
Heat oil for frying in a pan. Put the pieces of chicken in it so that they lie in one layer (if you have a large portion, fry in parts). Fry the chicken over high heat, stirring, until it changes color. Then push it aside and lay out the vegetables. (If you have a lot of chicken, take it out of the pan.) Pour ginger. Also quickly fry the vegetables, then mix them with the chicken and keep on fire for another 5 minutes, no more.
Add rice to the chicken and vegetables, mix. Pour soy sauce and stir again. Taste the dish, if necessary add salt or pour sauce (I added both salt and sauce).
Serve the Japanese rice immediately. You can sprinkle with greens. Bon appetit!
