I propose to prepare an interesting appetizer with an original taste that everyone will love without exception! The mock caviar made from herring, carrots, and eggs turns out to be incredibly tasty, tender, and healthy. The smoked cheese adds a special piquant note to the appetizer. For the preparation of the mock caviar, I used slightly salted Matias herring, which is very tender and juicy. The ready pâté can be spread on slices of crispy bread, used as a filling for pancakes, lavash, or waffle tartlets. This serving is perfect for a festive table.

Remove the packaging from the processed smoked cheese, cut into large pieces. Wash the carrots, peel, and cut into large chunks. Boil the chicken eggs until hard, cool in cold water, peel, and cut in half.
Disassemble Matias herring into fillets, remove the bones, and peel off the skin.
Pass processed smoked cheese through a meat grinder with a fine grid.
In the same way, chop the herring fillet, add the fish to the smoked cheese.
Next, twist the boiled chicken eggs, add them to the other ingredients.
Grind the raw carrot in a meat grinder, add the vegetables to the pâté.
Add softened butter to the false caviar. Season the appetizer with ground black pepper to taste.
Thoroughly mix the false caviar, achieving a uniform consistency. Cover the appetizer of herring, carrots, and eggs with a lid or cling film and place it in the refrigerator for 1 hour to cool and thicken.
Spread the pâté on slices of fresh bread, garnish with green onions, and serve the appetizer on the table.
Store the prepared false caviar in the refrigerator in a glass container with an airtight lid for 5 days. Enjoy!
