Ignite the culinary fire! Break the chocolate into pieces and let it melt gently with the butter over low heat. Then add sugar and vanilla extract, creating a magical elixir, stirring until completely dissolved.
It's time to add some magic! Add the eggs one at a time, beating the mixture with a mixer each time until smooth and airy to create the perfect base for our cookies.
Prepare the dry ingredients: sift the flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Then, gently add them to the chocolate mixture, mixing thoroughly to combine all elements into a single mass. Cover the bowl with film and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, allowing the dough to become dense and manageable.
Cast a spell on your oven, preheating it to 160 °C. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. Prepare a bowl with powdered sugar. Take a small amount of dough with a teaspoon and roll it into balls about 2.5 cm in diameter. Roll each ball in powdered sugar so that the cookies are covered with a thick layer of 'snow'.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet 4 cm apart, giving them room for their magical transformation. Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the cookies are adorned with appetizing cracks. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Now your snowy cookies are ready to bring joy!
