Even ordinary sausages can take on a new dimension if you add an Asian touch! Just a couple of ingredients – soy sauce, ketchup, and a little bell pepper – will transform a familiar dish into something special. Sauté the sausages in this aromatic mixture and serve them with a side dish or as a standalone meal. And if you like it spicier, feel free to add some chopped chili pepper!

Peel the onion, remove the casing from the sausages, and thoroughly wash the bell pepper. Prepare a heavy-bottomed skillet for the subsequent cooking.
Pour the soy sauce into a small bowl. Add the ketchup and sugar, then mix thoroughly until smooth.
Slice the bell pepper into thin strips and the onion into half-rings.
Heat a skillet with vegetable oil over medium heat until hot. Coarsely chop the sausages and add them to the hot oil. Fry, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
Add the chopped onion to the browned sausages. Continue to sauté for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once the onion is translucent, add the bell pepper to the pan. Sauté for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour the prepared mixture of ketchup and soy sauce into the pan with the sautéed ingredients. Stir thoroughly and simmer for another 2-3 minutes to allow all the flavors to meld together.
Serve the flavorful sausages in sauce with a side of rice. Before serving, sprinkle the dish with light and dark sesame seeds, as well as coarsely chopped chives for freshness and a vibrant taste.
