Sprinkle the apples with sugar, as well as sunflower, pumpkin, flax, and sesame seeds. Carefully, using a towel or parchment paper to assist you, roll it into a tight log. Thoroughly pinch the edges of the dough on both sides.
Repeat the same steps to form the second apple strudel. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and carefully place both strudels seam-side down onto it.
Place the baking sheet in the center of the preheated oven and bake the apple rolls for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown. Allow the lean apple rolls to cool completely before slicing them into portions. Enjoy your meal!
Begin by preparing the dough. Sift the wheat flour into a large bowl, reserving a small amount for rolling. Add baking powder, sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt to the flour, then thoroughly mix all the dry ingredients.
In a separate bowl, combine the mineral water with the vegetable oil. Carefully pour this mixture into the flour mixture, stirring vigorously with a spoon. After this, knead the dough by hand until smooth.
The prepared dough should be firm, yet elastic and soft. Place it in a plastic bag or wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for two hours to allow it to rest.
Divide the dough into two equal portions – this will make it easier to shape two small rolls. Begin working with one portion. Roll it out on a floured surface as thinly as possible, aiming for maximum transparency.
While the dough rests, prepare the apples. Wash them thoroughly, pat them dry, and peel them using a potato peeler. Remove the core and seeds. Slice the flesh into thin plates or small cubes.
To ensure the apples retain their appealing appearance and don't brown before you incorporate them into the strudel, sprinkle them with lemon juice and gently toss to distribute the juice evenly over all surfaces.
Place the rolled-out dough sheet on a kitchen towel or parchment paper. Sprinkle the dough evenly with starch. Then, arrange half of the sliced apples on top, leaving a 2–3 centimeter border from the edges.
