Begin by thoroughly preparing all ingredients: wash the green beans, tomatoes, lemon, bell pepper, and basil, then gently pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Remove the core and seeds from the bell pepper, and peel the garlic. Prepare the necessary kitchen utensils: a saucepan, colander, cutting board, bowl, and salad bowl.
Cut the green beans and cherry tomatoes in half. Slice the bell pepper into neat strips, 5-6 mm wide. Mince the garlic finely so it distributes evenly throughout the dish. Separate the tender basil leaves from the stem.
Pour 1-1.5 liters of water into a saucepan, place it over high heat, and wait for it to come to a rolling boil. Reduce the heat to medium, add ⅙ teaspoon of salt and the green beans to the water. Cook the beans for 5-7 minutes until al dente, so they remain slightly crisp. Drain the cooked beans in a colander and allow them to dry completely.
In a spacious salad bowl, combine the boiled green beans, halved cherry tomatoes, and strips of bell pepper. Gently mix all the ingredients to ensure they are evenly distributed.
Pour the prepared lemon-oil dressing over the vegetables in the salad bowl. Gently toss the salad once more to ensure every piece is infused with the flavors. Finally, sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the salad.
To give your green bean salad an even more appetizing look and taste, garnish it with olives and fresh microgreens. This will add vibrant accents and make the dish truly unforgettable.
Squeeze the juice from a lemon into a separate bowl. Add ⅙ teaspoon of salt, lemon pepper, and dried Italian herbs to it. Pour in olive oil and add minced garlic. Whisk all ingredients thoroughly with a whisk or fork until a homogeneous dressing is obtained.
