The bright and appetizing "Coleslaw" salad came to us from America, where it is traditionally served as a side dish to burgers or grilled meat. This simple and healthy dish can be prepared at any time of the year because it consists of budget-friendly ingredients that are always available. The taste of the salad can be varied by adding fresh cucumber, onion, sweet pepper, green apple, or grated cheese. A dressing made of sour cream and homemade mayonnaise with vinegar and mustard gives the salad a pleasant sharpness and piquancy. Try it, it's simple, quick, and incredibly delicious!

Serves:
White cabbage - 250 g
Red cabbage - 250 g
Carrot - 1 pc
Dill fresh - 1 bunch
Mayonnaise Light - 1 tbsp
Sour cream 15% fat - 1 tbsp
Apple cider vinegar 6% - 2 tbsp
Table mustard - 2 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Ground black pepper - ⅕ tsp
1
Remove damaged leaves from the red cabbage and cut out the core. Slice the cabbage into thin strips.
2
In the same way, chop the white cabbage.
3
Mix two types of cabbage in a deep dish, thoroughly kneading the vegetables with your hands to release their juice.
4
Wash the carrots, peel them, and grate them using a grater with large holes.
5
Add the grated carrot to the cabbage mixture, stir.
6
For a tangy dressing, mix apple cider vinegar, mayonnaise, sour cream, and spicy mustard in a separate bowl. You can use plain yogurt without additives instead of mayonnaise. Add salt, sugar, and ground black pepper to the dressing.
7
Whisk the dressing until it becomes a homogeneous mixture.
8
Add dressing to the vegetable salad.
9
Wash the dill greens, chop finely, and add to the rest of the ingredients. Mix the "Coleslaw" salad.
10
Cover the salad with a lid or plastic wrap, place it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to let the dressing mellow the taste of the cabbage.
11
Serve the appetizing and light salad with meat, poultry, or fish. In season, it will be a great addition to barbecue dishes! The salad turns out juicy and crunchy, with a spicy sharp taste. Enjoy!
