Scotch eggs are a delightful dish featuring a boiled egg nestled within a succulent meat patty. You can opt for any ground meat: a classic pork and beef blend, tender chicken, or lean turkey. To truly elevate the dish, decide on your preferred yolk consistency: firm and crumbly if you hard-boil the eggs, or delicately runny if you soft-boil them, reducing the cooking time to 5 minutes. This dish is not only delicious but also makes a striking presentation on the table!

First, thoroughly wash the eggs and thaw the minced meat. Prepare a baking dish so everything is at hand.
Place 3 eggs in a pot, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook the eggs for 8-10 minutes to achieve the perfect consistency.
Once the eggs are cooked, immediately drain the hot water and cover them with ice water. Let them sit for 10 minutes, then carefully peel the shells.
Mix the minced meat with salt and pepper, then thoroughly beat it in a bowl. This will help the mince become denser and prevent it from falling apart during baking.
Divide the minced meat into three equal portions and roll each into a thin patty. Place one peeled egg in the center of each patty, then carefully wrap the meat around it, forming a cutlet, and firmly seal the edges.
Coat each cutlet in breadcrumbs, then refrigerate them for 30 minutes to chill thoroughly and hold their shape.
Whisk the remaining egg with salt and pepper using a fork. Dip the chilled cutlets into this mixture, then carefully roll each one thoroughly in breadcrumbs on all sides.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place the meat preparations on it, and bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
Serve these delightful Scotch eggs with your favorite cheese sauce, garnished with fresh parsley and vibrant cherry tomatoes for the perfect finishing touch.
